Lakeward is an independent editorial project that creates and distributes digital guidebooks — informational content products designed to help visitors plan ferry trips to the Toronto Islands and explore the island park system. We do not sell, resell, or broker ferry tickets, nor do we provide transportation booking services of any kind.

Our guidebooks are based on the author's personal experience, observation, and independent research. They are informational content products and do not constitute official information from the City of Toronto or any government body. Readers should verify schedules, pricing, and policies through official City of Toronto resources before travelling.

3. General Provisions

By accessing this website or ordering any of our guidebooks, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site immediately.

4. Conditions of Use

You agree to use this website and its content for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or republish any guidebook content without prior written permission from Lakeward.

5. Intellectual Property

All text, design, layout, and guidebook content on this website are the intellectual property of Lakeward. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution is prohibited and may be subject to legal action under Canadian copyright law.

6. Payment & Refund Policy

All guidebook purchases are processed securely. Prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD). Because our products are digital content delivered electronically, refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If you experience a delivery issue, please contact us within 7 days of your order at editorial@lakeward.ca and we will work to resolve it promptly.

7. Prohibited Activities

You may not use this website to transmit harmful or unlawful material, attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site, or interfere with its operation. Any such activity may result in termination of access without notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

This website is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the City of Toronto, Toronto Parks, Forestry & Recreation, or the Toronto Island Ferry Service. Ferry schedules, pricing, and operational policies may change at any time. Please refer to official City of Toronto resources for the most current information.

Lakeward shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our guidebooks or this website. Content is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
